I'm not sure how to respond except to say that the way you deal with that is to live your life - actions speak louder than words - as who you are. Who God says you are. Let ugly words roll off of you like water off the back of a duck. You are made in the image and likeness of God. This election I guess "season" is the best word has had such a deep spiritual battle that more people are becoming aware of. I think it's causing people to turn to God. To understand that we cannot do this on our own. I don't know how to help outside of the framework of Creator God , who made all human beings in His image, and the Redeemer, who said we were worth dying for. I choose to be defined by God, not a person who doesn't know me or you. I think we also need to stand up and calmly say You do not define me. I reject this.

I would switch out your last word, as King is a demotion for the Creator and Redeemer of the world, but you're on the right track. It's not a good thing that people are trying to co opt the word garbage. I didn't like people calling themselves Deplorables and this is worse. It's not like taking the sting.out of the N word by Black people using it. People who are made in the image and likeness of God are not garbage. Especially the garbage I have been hauling out to the corner lately.

That's fantastic. My family somehow produces an endless supply of trash - I'm living with my parents and caring for my Mom, and dumping every trashcan in this house has given me a new appreciation that garbage collectors come by once a week and haul it outta here!!

He did a really good job on this. Poor guy is probably exhausted, he sounds like he has a cold, praying for healing.

But you are not those things.

Don't call yourself garbage. You are made in the image and likeness of God. Please.
4
Absolutely. It's pointless to argue logic, it sure seems.

Charlie mentioned synonyms, so in my hope of convincing you to NOT call yourselves garbage or deplorable, here are the synonyms in Mirriam Webster's dictionary for deplorable: Synonyms cheap contemptible cruddy despicable dirty grubby lame lousy mean nasty paltry pitiable pitiful ratty scabby scummy scurvy sneaking sorry wretched YOU ARE NOT THESE things.

If you want to create a habit of reading the Bible every day - I was given this excellent advice way back in High school - read a chapter of Proverbs every day. There is one chapter every day for a month and that becomes a habit. I remember being 17 and so delighted that what I was reading really applied to my life.

Don't call yourself that. It doesn't change the meaning.

@jennifercockfield3218 I did not quibble. Calling the Creator of the world and all that is in it only a King (You are clearly a student of God's Holy Word, remember when the Hebrew people begged God for a KING? ) That request and how I Samuel tells what followed that request partially informed my thoughts on this. I also have been so sad to see the name of Jesus used as a sort of rallying cry, used lightly, used in vain. in my opinion and understanding of the Bible and the English language, it is 100% a demotion. That is my personal conviction. But it's not just opinion, do go back and re-read I Samuel especially chapter 8. I was extremely blessed to grow up with the best teacher of the Bible in the same house, so I've gotten to study for half a century, also try to be very careful with language. I Samuel 12:7 is also helpful. ❤

Are you saying you were the only person watching?

I'll throw in this reminder - for the first ELEVEN YEARS that she was of age to vote, she did not even register. While working in her first government job, at age 29, according to Harmeet Dhillon, a great lawyer in California supporting free speech, Harris had to be told to register to vote. Women have only had the right to vote for about a hundred years. Women worked for freed slaves to have the right to vote decades before demanding it for themselves. The first female President of the United States will know this and understand how precious the right to vote is. The Vice President does not seem grateful to me.

Joe Biden is repeating what he hears. That is part - a sad part when it happens to good people like my own Mother - of dementia. It's an effort to feel part of the conversation. So while I give zero craps what Joe Biden says? Of course the people around him hate us and think we are garbage. We hate the evil that they do. It is a GOOD thing to be hated by the party that supports open borders, abortion for nine months, make YOUR children permanent medical patients and wants to end the protections of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. I don't hate Biden. It is bad for me to hate human beings, that doesn't hurt them, it only hurts me. I was taught by a very wise person that feeling pity for people like him is a better choice. This man 's family does not love or respect him. He will be remembered by history as one of our worst Presidents. And he will have to give an account to GOD for every life that was lost because of his Administration. There's so much to pity.

Scott Pressler is responsible for so much of that, I'm so proud of that young man - who started by picking up trash in parks!! Hey, it's a theme. :0)

Because it would just become a vicious cycle. They impeach us, we impeach them. Someone has to take the high road eventually. I know we have to fight fire with fire often, but I think it would hurt the country more than it would help to do that. The most powerful thing I know in 55 years of life is forgiveness. It does not mean "What you did is okay". It means I will not allow your wrong actions to be a weight on my mind and soul.
1
The boring and factual reason is that there were not enough votes in Senate to convict. You'll recall that Mayorkas was impeached. I don't know if many people are even aware of that.
1
@Hayley539 Not correct. It's easy to blame one person but again the facts are 1- not enough votes in the Senate 2- The one Biden Administration person who was impeached? The Speaker didn't stop that. Does anyone even know that an impeachment happened? And 3- it creates a vicious cycle where every President is impeached.
1
@chrzoc How did you try? Because if Republicans in Georgia had actually shown up and voted, there would have been Republican control of the Senate. Instead they stayed home, it's a 50/50 Senate and the Vice President breaks the tie. But I would honestly like to know what people did that I'm obviously unaware of.

@RachelByers-h7v Did you watch the entire show yet?

Really looking forward to Megyn moving past what was a really good rally. I didn't see the beginning, i saw happy people, I saw diversity, i saw the flag of ISRAEL, I saw the same positivity we saw at the Republican National Convention. Megyn was there.
