@jarzm6993 first, go tol learn the word, Arbitral Tribunal , it means both sides willingly to sit together to settle the dispute, China never agree to be there in the first place, the whole thing is illegal. Secondly, it has no authorities, it formed by some civilians from Japan etc, not an official UN institution. 3.yes, it is totally wrong. in fact, even if its decision, favors China, it is totally with no legal base.

now, everyone seems like to follow so called "Rule based world Order", well, fine, so what is the Rule?? Regarding EEZ, the rule said,
1. EEZ is NOT a country's territorial water:
Territorial Waters: These extend up to 12 nautical miles from a country's baseline (usually the low-water line along the coast). Within this zone, the coastal state exercises full sovereignty, similar to its land territory.
Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ): This extends up to 200 nautical miles from the baseline. While a coastal state has special rights regarding the exploration and use of marine resources in its EEZ, it does not exercise full sovereignty over the area. The EEZ allows for the rights to natural resources, both living and non-living, but does not grant sovereignty over the waters or the seabed itself.
2. EEZ does not automatically determine the ownership of any islands or shoals in it:
Islands and Shoals: The ownership and sovereignty of islands and shoals within an EEZ are governed by international laws and agreements, such as those outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). An EEZ merely grants resource rights and does not affect the sovereignty claims over land features within the zone.
Disputed Territories: In cases where multiple countries claim ownership of islands or shoals within overlapping EEZs, the disputes are often resolved through international arbitration, bilateral agreements, or rulings by international courts.
