If you were as rich as Saudi Arabia, maybe this approach would work. However, you're not. For example, the MQ-9B drone costs you $110 million, while China's similar Wing Loong 2 drone costs about $1 million. China is five times wealthier than you, so for every MQ-9 you buy, China can produce 500 Wing Loong 2 drones with the same spending effort. How can your defense remain sustainable in such a scenario? The same applies to all other weapons systems.
