  1. the original was 11 dashed line, not drawn by the People Republic of China, but by Republic of China (now in Taiwan) in 1947, PRC founded in 1949 2 years after the line was drawn, when the line was drawn, Vietnam was colony of France, and the Philippines was a colony of the US. Nobody here can answer a simple question,why it is a dashed line not a solid line?

  3. simple fact is, no matter who draw the line, China now has the power to defend what China claimed as China's, the US stand is they do not care, they only want the freedom of navigation in SCS, for which China has no objection about it. no ASEAN country has power to fight China. this is the simple reality in SCS.
