Why were past powers able to occupy countries like the Philippines or India and rule for so long? The reason was industrialization. Industrialized countries were stronger than those that were not, as they could produce big guns, airplanes, tanks, and warships. Your country did not have these, so they occupied your country and ruled you. The same principle applies today. Modern warfare is still based on the strength of a country's industry, especially its manufacturing industry.   15. actually it does not matter if Sabina shoal inside Ph's EEZ or not, since international law said the EEZ does not automatically determine the ownership of islands or shoals in it. EEZ only means the country has right for fishing and other activities. The EEZ allows for the rights to natural resources, both living and non-living, but does not grant sovereignty over the waters or the seabed itself.

  24. the correct way for Ph's is not to pay $30 million to a BS arbitration, but correct way should be sending the request to The Hague International Court of Justice, although it may not work either, however, it is an official UN institution.

Arbitration is a voluntary process where the parties involved in a dispute agree to submit their conflict to one or more arbitrators for a binding resolution. For the arbitration to take place, the parties must mutually consent to the selection of arbitrators and the arbitration process. China never did agree to the whole process, never ever attended the process. the whole arbitration is void with no effect of any to China.
