  3. surprise, my comment survived, then I will try to write some more, what I understand about why the bill should be rejected by farmers. first, India agriculture is at every low productivity, it cannot compete with US or even China, US with 2 million farmers can produce more than 600-800 million Indian farmers produce, therefore, once there is a demand, US can produce huge amount of grains to feed the world grain market with the price Indian farmers cannot compete. so Ambanis, or even Walmart, can simply buy from world market to put into India, this will push already difficult Indian farmers into bankruptcy, do not be naive, all countries have subsidies to their farmers, US is the same,

  4. her analysis is totally against what she loved so much "democracy", she is afraid of in future any government reform or policy may be subject to protesting, well, that is what democracy means. people, not just government, has the right to reject. (now someone will say China is not democracy so I do not know anything, actually that is not true, China will never put these kind farm bills out in the first place, the government always ask the people first before putting out any laws in China, haha :)) i am sure this will be deleted )
