@mombaassa Indians are so funny 1. what you said is not true, simple google you will see China PLA did great damage inside Vietnam, 2. what you said does not mean Indian army is better than Vietnam army, there is no logic in it.

@mombaassa I do not care if you are indian or not for vietnam war, 1. China attacked into Vietnam, defeated Vietnam's defense, occupied the last barrier Liangshan, from to the capital Honoi there were no effective defense line any more, and made Vietnam tried to flea to the south. 2. during the one month war, PLA totally destroyed the best Vietnam army they have in the north. also since the battle filed is inside Vietnam, also made great damage to Vietnam economy and facilities. 3. Even China as the attacking/ invasion side, the lost was greater in Vietnam side, more Vietnam army captured than China side 4. the war did not stop at 1979, but lasted for 10 yrs, during this time, PLA grew stronger and stronger day by day, PLA took this time to send on different troops in rotation to practice war, and Vietnam was getting worse day by day, as its small size it could not afford the war, so finally after China took back all the territory China claimed along the border Vietnam begged China for stopping the war and signed treaty with China to get peace back so they could work on their economy. 5. there is no logic between Vietnam war and the coming war with India. there is no logic if Vietnam could fight then Indian army could fight too. Vietnam army had much more war experience than Indian army, and lots of fighting tactics were taught by PLA, 6. Today's PLA is totally different than the PLA in 1979, so no need to say more

@mombaassa you confused your whole point, your whole point is trying to prove that PLA is not as good as Vietnam army, but your proof is weak, that is Vietnam did not withdraw from Cambodia, so what?? that was by nature a limited restricted war, China did not want to destroy Vietnam, only to do a certain damage. that is all as I said, PLA today is totally different than PLA in 1979, your point means NOthing today.

If you are from Vietnam, then why not take back Laoshan? so if you are from TW, why not claim independent? if you are from India, why not do something after 20 of killed and take back Finger 4? if whatever other country you are from, how's your army compare to PLA ?

@mombaassa before 79,Vietnam was trying to dominate whole South East Asia, with 79 war, this dream totally broke for Vietnam. Today, even China has some conflict with ASEAN countries over SCS, however, none of them joined US organized quad. only stupid India which has nothing to do in SCS foolishly involved. China just signed RCEP you may cry in your rat hole. haha :))
