under Modi, the gap between India and China widened, in 2014, India GDP was $2 trillion, China was $10 trillion, difference is $8 trillion, in 2023, India GDP is $3.73 trillion, China is $17. 7 trillion, the difference is $13.97 trillion
Under Modi's leadership for a decade, the most crucial aspect for a strong country—its industry—has suffered. Manufacturing's contribution to GDP has plummeted from 16% to 13%. There are insufficient job opportunities for the youth, leading many to return to rural areas, rendering the so-called youth benefits ineffective. The purported rapid (or fastest) growth has primarily been fueled by borrowing money, with a significant portion sourced from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a Chinese institution established for Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) projects. India is the largest borrower from this bank, yet paradoxically, it warns other nations about falling into debt traps while finding itself ensnared in one. The borrowed funds have been channeled into infrastructure projects such as roads, airports, bridges, and dams, which, while superficially boosting growth, lack substantial technological advancements. The question remains: can these projects generate sufficient revenue to repay the interest owed each month? Despite the government's attempts to project an image of rapid progress, the reality is a façade aimed at duping citizens into reelecting them.
under Modi, :
1.India had by far the largest number of zero-food children (6.7 million), which is almost half of all zero-food children in the 92 countries included in this Harvard study.
2.74.1% of Indians unable to afford a healthy diet: FAO ReportReport provides startling figures of country’s position on malnutrition and stunted growth
3. with globe hunger index 111, 6th from the last one.
4. India’s Income Inequality Is Now Worse Than Under British Rule, New Report Says
5. Mumbai has the India most billionaires (297 of them) at the same time, Dharavi is a residential area in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It has often been considered to be one of the world's largest slums. Dharavi has an area of just over 2.39 square kilometres (0.92 sq mi; 590 acres) and a population of about 1,000,000.,
6. India has approximately 12 666 377 child labourers total. Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India, has 19,27,997 child labourers. Delhi, the capital of India, has over 1 million child labourers.
Under Modi's leadership, India's economy may soon be surpassed by ASEAN countries. Currently, India's GDP in 2023 stands at $3.73 trillion, while ASEAN countries collectively amount to $3.718 trillion. ASEAN countries are experiencing rapid growth, exemplified by the construction of the high-speed rail in Laos by China, which was initially designed for freight transportation with a capacity of 0.75 million tons per year. This rail system aimed to reach 1 million tons by 2040; however, it exceeded expectations by reaching 1.6 million tons in its first year and 2.6 million tons in the second year, 2023. Presently, it is being expanded to accommodate up to 6 million tons per year. With this trend, ASEAN countries, which are part of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) treaty with China, are poised to surpass India's GDP in the near future.

100 years ago, China was like India: poor and backward. Despite being hailed as the first democracy in Asia and the world's largest democracy, these titles did not change anything for China. Instead, China was bullied by Western powers and invaded by Japan. The most advanced intellectuals in China at the time, represented by Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and others, came to realize that Western-style 'democracy' would never work for China. They saw the path of Russia's 1917 revolution as the only way for China's future. They fought for it and founded the People's Republic of China (PRC) in 1949. Since then, China has been on the right path for the country and has emerged as a true superpower in the world.
Indians may not believe it and may not realize that their world's largest democracy is just a name with no real use. However, since India will not undergo an overall revolution like China did, India will never catch up with China. It is not a matter of Congress or BJP; there is no difference, and neither will work
