  1. this is a misconception, US is the strongest in military, that is not the question, however, China is not going to invade US, China will not go to attack Pearl Harbor, but only wants to defend China's interest very close to China mainland, 1. Taiwan, 2. India. in this limited range, US military has no advantage over China. Militarily, China can take back Taiwan by force, with or without US interference, China will succeed. Since all US for projection its force is by aircraft carriers, but with China's long range antiship ballistic missiles and hypersonic missiles. China can block US AC group in about 3000 km away from China, while the fighting radium of an F35 or FA18 is just 750 km even with long range cruise missiles, it will not help much for Taiwan by US. For India too, China can take back South Tibet, it is more difficult for US to get involved even, US will not send ground troop or airfore to help India, navy cannot go to Himalaya. and final question is, why Americans want to die for Taiwan or India??
