  2. the reason for this was China was happy just buying US chips, and US companies were happy too, since they could make huge amount of money, however, Trump forced sanctions on chips export, now China has to make it by China, but due to huge tech blocks the progress are not very fast, however, for most of chips China can make by China, especially chips for military use, since priority for it is not how small it is , like 5 nm or 7 nm, but reliability. since 2014, China has promised $194 billion into chips making, in 2021, the spending on making chip is $14 billion and in 2022 will be $15 billion, compare to India $10 billion. US now is forcing Taiwan and S. Korean Samsung to send all their commercial secrets or facing risk of sanction from US. India will certainly get no better treatment from US.
