1. GE 414 is useless cannot be used for 5th gen fighter,
2. even if it can be used for Tejas MKII, assume it is as good as FA18, still not be useful, Tejas MKII , just like Tejas mk1. will not be able to sell a single one to the other country. so GE414 cannot produce in a large number,
3. with limited number of GE414 production, will make the each one cost very high, therefore it will not be able to sell it to other countries. this is a bad cycle,

Ni-base single crystal turbine blades is already out of date for making more powerful turbine blades for which needs ceramic materials, which are the engines used in 5 th gen fighters with max power output above 140 kn, GE 414 is only 93 kn, (GE404 is 81 kn, Kaveri is 71 kn), compare to F22's engine, 153 kn, F 35 's 190 kn, China WS 15 for J20 180 kn. The US will not provide such kind engine to India.

The next generation is ceramic material made of turbine blades, all jet engine with above 150 kn need this kind of engine, also in ceramic engines, there are many generations already, in ceramic engine another import factor is coating for it. In today's world, the US is still number 1, but number 2 is not Russia but China. China has mastered ceramic material made of turbine blades with special coating, so China can make WS 15 with 180 kn. The US only sells GE 414 to India, which is generations behind the best US and China military engine, well if you think the purpose of India to get it is to fight China, which will be totally useless on that.
