Indian military like to buy from other countries, it is a tradition, the reason is there are special customer account for them, and cannot be reached by India government or public, such as in Dassault Rafale case, or it is very difficult to explain why paying $250 million each for this none stealthy fighter is is about twice more expensive than F 35 and even F22. it may be just match J10C to Pakistan, which is about $80 million each, with 3 times more expensive, certainly not need 3 J10C to shoot down a Rafale but only need one

  2. the problem is DRDO cannot make anything that is important for 21st century war, 1.stealthy fighter, 2, attacking drones, 3. hypersonic missiles, it can only make those old, out of date, not very important light weapons.
