The significance of SCS islands for China is not just a few (7) tiny islands with only a few sq km each, the importance is they sealed the south direction of Taiwan, with the radars on the islands, US navy cannot go through that direction to Taiwan in case of war, it US directly attack the islands, then it is the same thing, as warning, US is coming that direction. Now China navy is all concentrated on the east part of Taiwan in Philippines sea that is the only direction left for US navy to get to Taiwan, to the north east in Japan, China is not worried, since that direction all covered by land based China air force and missiles.

  4. US spy plane armed with a special weapon, a big ax, in case the plane crashed with force landing in the enemy's territory (China) , the pilots would first delete all the data in the computers in the airplane then using that ax to total smash all important instruments.
