Ladakh is only a place to draw large number of Indian army, this is a place India had to defend, since it is only 400 km to Delhi, so even though China's main attacking is not there, but India needs to keep a huge amount of troops (200,000 and more) in there, just in case, China' s main aim is in the eastern sector, by cutting off Siliguri corridor from Doklam (80 km to Siliguri, with PHL 03 rocket artillery range 140 km) , to attack from Tawang all the way to Tespur, to make whole Assam under control to make sure this time South Tibet is completely back to China.

  5. let me help India a little, as how to defend India from China, assume India is 6 times stronger in everything, hah :) with a much superior IAF than PLAAF, first is to keep accurately situation awareness in all front facing China, since unlikely China will attack Delhi, so mainly using S400 and IAF to control the west sector, shoot down all J 20, J 10 J 16........and destroy all PLA positions in Ladakh with air power of almighty IAF . in the eastern sector, IAF needs to send bombers to completely destroy all the military positions of PLA in Doklam, to make sure Siliguri corridor will not be cut off by PLA so India army and supplies and go through smoothly to support Tawang front. using the mountain set up multiple defense lines and strong holds, using missile and bomb constantly attacking PLA supply lines, these will effectively stop PLA's advance in the area, with time PLA will be exhausted and retreat. however, nothing in my assumption existed for India, sorry. :))
