people of this country just do not realize how far they are behind, still dreaming 5th, 6th 7th ...gen fighters, hah :)) F35 with F135 engine, max power 197 kn, F22, with engine max power 157kn,. China, WS 10 with max power 133 kn, WS 15 for J20 180 kn, ..... Russian AL 41 engine 176 kn,,, basically for any 5th gen fighter, you need at least 150 kn to make it big and powerful enough (so you can carry enough fuels for longer range and fighting radium and carry more weapons) and can fly fast with super cruise capability, anything less than that will not work, with this news we know, India has nothing near its goal, planned GE 414 with max power 93 kn, by this alone we know your AMCA will be a junk too, haha :) it hurts but it is true. with this still on paper, 100 kn, will be another junk, but it will take at least 40 years or may never for India to reach 150 kN level, hah:) but hey, you can still dream, it is fun, it is pretty and it is free (but you cannot make a a jet real engine just by dreaming, it is a pity, inst it?)

French is not very good at making military engine, the problems lies their basic design, so for French, they can only make medium power level military engine such the one used in Rafale, the good of Rafale is not its engine but the the whole jet, with 2 engines Rafale's max speed is only M1.8, China sold J10c to Pakistan with only 1 engine got speed to M 2.2, Snecma M88-4e turbofans, max output power only 75 kn, less than what Tejas using now GE 404 with 80 kn. This why French cannot make any 5th generation fighter, they do not have any engine to make it supercruise.

making jet engine is not like dreaming you can do it day or at night, jet engine needs high temperature tolerating materials, first with alloy metal then mono crystal alloy then ceramic alloy then..go on also with ceramic coating................. etc etc, you need now China is just behind US on making jet engine, with 3rd generation ceramic alloy with ceramic coating ability, (US should be at 5 th generation) and China has passed Russia on jet engine making, that is why China now all use China made WS 10A for J10 and WS 15 for J20, to replace Russian engines, India is at the level of 1, make alloy engine, Kevari, the max output power 71 kn, so Tejas has to use GE 404 with max power 80 kn. Impossible for India to reach the level for making jet engine which can be used in 5th gen fighter. but hey, it is your money, waste as much as you like. why should I care,

you have dream, you have plan, you want to make it, but you just cannot. Making jet engine cost huge amount of money, which you do not have, you are just a 3rd world developing country, you do not have basic research for it, your total R&S budget is only 0.6-0.7% of your GDP compare to China's 2.1%, consider China's GDP is 6 times of yours, that is 2.1/0.65*6=19.38 times difference every year, now it lasted more than 20 years, so the difference is 20*19.38=387.6 times in just R&D, you need to master the technology of making ceramic alloy, nobody will teach you that, you need to make it yourself, you need to spend money in building factories and testing facilities that all cost huge amount of money, you need to have people in the field with know-how, you do not have, your universities ranked behind 500 in the world. it wont work if you say "if we want to make it we can", no you cannot. that is just for jet engine, you will also need radar and missile all of them cost huge amount of money and you cannot make world class radar but need to import from Israel and missile from France meteor, even if you can, with the cost, you will make a single real 5 th gen fighter over $1000 million which you cannot afford to make enough number for yourselves and no other country afford to buy it. even you need to import 1500 materials and part from Russia for Su-30 MKI after 20 years, let alone making a real 5th gen fighter. will, sure you can try, after 20 years, only will be another junk.

@kumarakshat1300 hah:)) truth hurts, but fact is fact, you have no facts to support,
the way for India's development is not to make jet engine, but to make shoes, shirts, like what Bangladesh is doing, and to make good cell phones which can compete in the world, do small things, make good rifles, accumulate experience on repairing jet engines and radars, and learn during the process, not to make advanced jet, it is totally a wrong way, but I know you (your country, your nation) would not go this way, it is your nature, so that is why you have no hope and no future.
