S400 cannot intercept hypersonic missiles, totally useless to use it against China. most long range ballistic missiles at terminal speed are hypersonic in speed, but they are just traditional ballistic missile, the difference for now called "hypersonic" is besides speed is more than Mach 6, it goes totally different trajectory, it "glides" at the top of the atmosphere, therefore the current anti ballistic systems in the world cannot intercept hypersonic missiles, that is the significance of it, N. Korea's hypersonic missile made US THAAD system in South Korea useless, same as India S400 is useless to China's DF 17 hypersonic missiles.

@abhirupbiswas6937 that is all you have :)) with speed M3, and range 290 km, can be intercepted by HQ 9 or S400 which China has since 2018
