James Blackmore Inferior, is that why only 8% of Huawei's products have components that don't have USA tech in them? Is that why it's China's firms who are known for IP theft? IS that why the US government had to implement laws specifically to address China's hacking efforts ? And why should the USA sell its technology to China? It has no obligation to support Huawei. China has a long history of intellectual property theft, and the semiconductors being sold can be used in military applications that could one day be used against American troops. China can build its own microchips. And it’s been China that has blamed the USA for Covid-19, sending US agents into China to start the spread of the virus. Where’s the proof is right. In regards to the war in Iraq and WMDs, the USA had good reason to believe that Sadam has them. He had used chemical weapons on the Kurds in the north, for which Chemical Ali was hung for his crimes. US army disposal experts have gotten ill from exposure to chemical weapons. Sadam did not permit UN inspectors access to all sites that were suspected of having chemical weapons. And finally, Sadam himself admitted that he tried to deceive the world. It was not the USA that he feared, as he never thought that the USA would actually attack, but Iran. If any nation is bullying it’s China. They have disputes with nearly all their neighbors, and they are claiming territory that doesn’t belong to it.

The USA should be able to sell its own technology to whomever it wants without being criticized for it.

Why? The USA should be able to sell its technology to whomever it wants. It’s not bullying, it will hinder Huawei’s growth, which the USA has no obligation to support. Did China care when a US company with windmill tech went into a partnership with a Chinese company, then the Chinese company stole the technology, marketed it and made millions, and it dropped the US company that provided the technology in the first place? Why should the USA support a company that directly competes with its own? It makes no sense. Huawei needs to build its own microchips, without depending on the USA. This same technology could be used in Chinese weapons that could kill Americans. It’s been China that has been bullying its neighbors for territory, like in the South China Sea and on its border with India. It’s been China who has been repeatedly stealing Western technology.
