I’m going to be hated for this comment, but if Russia is willing to let Ukraine Russia join NATO, and with the condition that it keeps the territory it currently holds, that’s something to strongly consider. The front lines have remained relatively stagnant for the last year, and Ukraine’s largest supplier of weapons (the U.S.) is on the verge of not providing weapons anymore, it will be extremely difficult for Ukraine to take back any more land. It sickens me that my country, the US, has failed to further help Ukraine, but no matter how often I write to my congressmen the level of support isn’t going to change if Trump is re-elected. I fully support Ukraine, but there’s been a tremendous loss of life, and the land is heavily mined and defended, that recovering the land from Russia is far from being easy. It will just result in many more hundreds of thousands of deaths. Joining NATO is what Ukraine needs, and Russia’s not that stupid to take on all of NATO.
