In 1944, Crimean Tatars were ethnically cleansed and deported under the orders of Joseph Stalin, in what has been described as a cultural genocide. The USSR transferred Crimea to Ukraine on the 300th anniversary of the Pereyaslav Treaty in 1954. In addition, the fact that Russia lied about invading, saying it was just internal conflict, when in fact it was Russia’s troops all along, also further confirms that Russia itself knew what it did was wrong. Russia then held fake referendums, just like its done in other parts of Ukraine. You don’t need to lie when you’re in the right. Furthermore, the fact that Russia paid Ukraine money to lease the naval base confirms that Russia didn’t own the territory. Russia only took the area after it was clear that Ukraine wanted to join the EU and NATO. If Ukraine had remained allied with Russia, Russia wouldn’t have invaded and taken the land. How does it feel being from a country that is so widely despised? Are you enjoying being known as a terrorist state, a country whose troops have kidnapped, raped, tortured, maimed and murdered innocent people, and a country that has targeted hospitals, schools, playgrounds, restaurants, residential areas, railroad stations, shopping malls, humanitarian centers, churches, etc. Russia’s worse than ISIS and Al Qaeda, and yet you’re here defending it. WTF is wrong with you.

@Kuksha-51 Facts are that the USSR gifted Crimea to Ukraine. Russia then retook it illegally. Russia lied about it, saying that it was just locals, and then Putin only admitted the truth that “the little green men” were Russian soldiers all along after Russia held an illegal referendum. Ukraine didn’t do anything wrong, and it certainly didn’t take advantage of Russia. Russia gave Crimea as a gift to Ukraine, and then only took it back after it saw the writing on the wall that Ukraine wanted to be aligned with the west. The referendum itself was not only fixed, but it was illegal as it would have required the entire nation’s vote pursuant to the Ukrainian Constitution. International law Crimea is recognized as Ukraine’s and not Russia’s. Russia’s been the country that has lied and committed illegal acts. Crimea is Ukraine’s, and Russia is just a thug that took it because it couldn’t act Ukraine wanting to side with the west.

It’s sick and it’s wrong. Russia’s troops are committing horrific atrocities against innocent Ukrainians, including children, and there’s nothing right about it either. It’s pure evil. Russia only took it back when it became apparent that Ukraine was aligning itself with the west. Russia acted like a spoiled child and took back the gift, even though 60 years had already passed. The fact that Russia lied that Russia’s troops weren’t involved, and then only admitted later on that the “little green men” were Russian troops all along further shows that even Putin himself knew what Russia did was wrong. You don’t lie when you’re in the right. You don’t send troops to another country with their insignias removed when you’re in the right. And your explanation about Russia’s paying lease money to use the naval base is yet another lie. Russia paid simply because it recognized it didn’t own the land. That’s what you do when you don’t own the property but still want to use it, you pay the owner lease monies. The 2014 uprising was not the CIA’s doing. There’s absolutely no evidence to support it, just Russian buffoonery. I’ve listened and read the US ambassador’s comments several times, and Russia is as usual just grabbing at straws. That’s all Russia can do, blame the US for everything. From the US causing earthquakes to bad weather, illnesses (including Covid), Russia’s failed satellite launches, meteors hitting Russia, Russia blames the United States. The real facts are the Ukrainian people were rightly outraged against the government, a government that had once promised to join the EU, but instead went back on its word and sided with Russia. The Ukrainian people wanted nothing to do with Russia. Who can blame them. Of course they are going to want a better standard of living that EU countries have in comparison to Russia. Hell, in Russia many people don’t even have toilets and live like the poor. Just use simple common sense. If what you’re saying is true, and the Ukrainian people didn’t agree with the coup, and that it was all the US’s doing, that would mean that the Ukrainian people would have still wanted to be friends with Russia. They would have welcomed Russian troops with open arms. Instead Russia has the fight of its life, and the Ukrainian people want Russia off of every bit of its territory. You’re just like every other Russian troll, you’re a liar.
