Keep dreaming. The Kinzhal isn’t a true hypersonic missile because it’s not maneuverable and has been intercepted numerous times. The US had a similar air dropped missile in the 1950s called the GAM-87 Skybolt. That tells you how far Russia is behind. 😂

The ARRW is a boost glide vehicle that is also maneuverable, which is Kinzhal is not. The Kinzhal is nothing special. It’s just an air-dropped version of the Iskander. The IS GAM-87 had similar flight characteristics but it flew Mach 12, and it was built in the 1950s. Russia’s weapons have failed miserably in Ukraine. It’s why at the recent arms expo in UAE Russia’s 200+ companies failed to get a single sale while US companies made billions.

@bobbyschannel349 What’s the name of an equivalent Chinese hypersonic missile? One thing that I’ve learned over the years is that the US intentionally overstates adversaries capabilities. It’s how US generals get their fancy toys. And just to put things into perspective, the US actually had an air dropped missile that could fly hypersonic speeds in the 1950s called the GAM-87 Skybolt. It technically doesn’t meet the definition of a hypersonic missile as we describe them today, which is both a missile having hypersonic speeds and is maneuverable, but it failed into the same categorization as a Kinzhal which isn’t maneuverable either..

If you know for certain that China is so far ahead, then you should be able to name the missile that China has that compares in capabilities to the US one. Facts are there isn’t one.

@bobbyschannel349 You do realize that it really doesn’t matter much anyway. Most Chinese SAMS are modeled after Russian ones, which have failed miserably in Ukraine. Even when Russia has known precisely what is being targeted, it’s been unable to stop the attacks. The Ukrainians have repeatedly been able to strike bridges, command centers, barracks, ammo dumps, bases, etc., and Russia’s SAMS have failed to do their job. Look at how the Moskva couldn’t even defend itself against subsonic missiles, and its specialty was air defense. Or did you see the video where Russian S-300 operators simply laughed when a Storm Shadow flew over their heads? There’s no need to waste expensive hypersonic missiles that cost significantly more when just as more powerful but less expensive weapons can do the job. Keep in mind that the US SAMs have been extremely successful, even taking out Russian Kinzhal missiles on numerous occasions.

The other Russian missile is the Zircon, which is a copy of the US X-51 Waverider, and the Zircon failed to hit its target. Laugh at yourself because the rest of the world is already laughing at Russia’s constant lies that rave about its capabilities. Every Russian weapon that people had much respect for has failed. From Russia’s SAMs to its hypersonic missiles, its navy, they’ve all failed miserably.

@alexanderbelov6892 I should have mentioned above that the US GAM-87 Skybolt had similar flight characteristics as the Kinzhal, but it was faster flying at Mach 12. The U.S. built it in the 1950s. Yes, it just shows how far Russia is behind. It’s why Russia has the long history of copying. It’s always playing catchup. The Russian Zircon is a good example. It’s a copy of the US X-51 Waverider that broke the world record for longest hypersonic duration of flight back over a decade ago.

@alexanderbelov6892 Of course it was canceled. Even today Russia still struggles at intercepting missiles. Not too long ago there was a Storm Shadow that flew rightward over Russian S-300 operators heads and all they could do was laugh at it. Russia’s failed miserably at protecting strategic assets, even when it’s known precisely what is being targeted. Hypersonic missiles costs are extremely high especially in comparison to other missiles that can do the job just as well. And again the Kinzhal is not a hypersonic missile as defined today. It’s flight path projected can be calculated to be interpreted, which wouldn’t happen if it was maneuverable
