The F-117 that was shot down was due more to the US screwing up than Russian technology. US commanders even admitted screwing up because of poor mission planning. The F-117 flew the same flight path four nights straight and at the same time at night. It’s not that hard to shoot down an aircraft if you know when and where it will fly over. The shooting down took place in the fourth night of the war, and despite flying many more sorties afterwards not another one was shot down. If you think about it logically, only one was shot down in its 30 year lifetime, and after flying thousands of sorties. Look at how many aircraft Russia has lost in Ukraine and even Georgia by using legacy aircraft.

@notsure6182 Only two launchers. Russia hasn’t destroyed entire Patriot systems. Face the facts. The Patriots have shot down everything that has come their way. From the Iskander, to cruise missiles, Zircon, Kinzhal, they’ve all been intercepted. In the meantime Russia has struggled to defend bridges, barracks, command centers, ammo dumps, air bases, refineries, strategic assets, etc.

You mean the Russian tanks and BMTs that continuously are getting destroyed? You mean Russian missiles that keep getting shot down? You mean Russia’s navy that has gone into hiding?

@shenmisheshou7002 Says who, Russia? 😂 Do you really trust what Russia says after its weapons have failed to impress anyone in Ukraine? As you inferred, it’s not just about detecting the aircraft, but the missile seeker head needs to be able to track and lock onto the target. To put it simply, if the very large and powerful radar site has difficulty just detecting a stealth fighter, how well do you think the missile seeker head is going to do tracking and locking onto it? Just to put things into perspective, even in visual site fighters like the F-15C have had a hard time locking onto the F-22. Syria has been covered with both S-300s and the S-400, and yet still the Israeli F-35s have been attacking targets at will. Russia would love to be able to shoot down a F-35. It would help its reputation, and it would also increase S-400 sales. Russia at one time tried to shoot down an Israeli F-16, but it hit one of their own aircraft instead.

@shenmisheshou7002 You don’t know wtf you’re talking about. If Russia tried shooting down the F-16, it sure would try to shoot down a F-35. Of course the F-22 and F-35 aren’t invisible. I never said they were. But you’re foolish to think that the US would just use stealth. It would combine the F-22s and F-35s with jammers, spoofing, anti-radiation missiles, decoys, drones, etc. it would be extremely difficult to focus on bringing down a stealth fighter. Think about it logically. In around 40 years and thousands of sorties flown, only one has been shot down. And it was due to human error of flying a predictable flight path. Neither Russia or China have the capability to stop the USAF and USN. You’re dreaming. Dummy, the Abrams used in Ukraine doesn’t have DU armor that US forces used, and it is a much older model. The US isn’t about to let Russia get its hands on a modern US tank. US weapons have ruled the battlefield in Ukraine. They’ve made a joke out of Russia’s so-called hypersonic missiles. They’ve decimated Russian air defenses. They’ve annihilated Russian tanks and armored vehicles. And it can be seen in sales. US weapons are in high demand. On the other hand, nobody wants Russian weapons. Just look at the UAE arms expo. Russia failed to get a single sale. The US made billions.

@shenmisheshou7002 You are clueless. The Abrams sent is an old export model, and US weapons are dominating over Russian ones. Be sensible. Only one stealth fighter has been shot down in 40 years, and it was due to human error. Russia’s SAMs haven’t made any great leap in technology.

@shenmisheshou7002 You’re also failing to recognize that the US would use spoofing, jamming, HARM anti-radiation missiles, decoys, drones, etc., in combination with the stealth fighters. And Russia’s SAMs have failed to impress in Ukraine, with even a Storm Shadow flying over a Russian SAM site with the soldiers below laughing. Russia’s SAMs are way overrated.

@anthonyinzerillo2804 Your numbers are way off. Most of Ukrainians from the number you cited doesn’t even have an assault rifles. Russia’s military is significantly larger than Ukraine’s, you can’t deny that. If Russia is being outmanned on the battlefield, then that is due to Russia’s own stupidity. The fact that the Russian Duma had to change the law to allow men up to the age of 65 to fight shows that Russia is hurting. I have seen some of Russia’s new recruits, and they have no business going into battle. Yes, Ukraine has had time to prepare, but regardless with Russia’s huge size advantages in all branches of the military it should have been able to overcome them. You can find numerous sites and different sources that show Ukraine is taking large amounts of territory back from the Russians. Russia is on its heels right now. You know very well that all the ammo destroyed has hurt Russia immensely. The Ukrainians have reported that the artillery strikes from Russia have significantly gone down. You know it’s bad when Russia has to buy back artillery from North Korea. Russia is failing. You can deny it all you want, but it’s true.

@anthonyinzerillo2804 Russia’s the king of propaganda. No country lies more often. The fact that the Russian media won’t dare to say anything negative about Putin, or the horrible corruption at higher levels demonstrates that the media is under the absolute control of Putin. The west’s media in comparison looks like a saint. I can list off countless lies told by Russia, some of them are quite ridiculous. Can you do the same about western media? If so, go for it. I’d like to hear your examples.

@anthonyinzerillo2804 What you’re not accounting for are the DNR and LNR troops who were forced to fight along with Russian troops. Russia has in itself around 250,000 troops, while there’s an estimate of around the same for the DNR and LNR, which makes around a half a million troops on Russia’s side. Right now Russia is very much on its heels and is losing territory. You’re right that things could change, but Ukraine has some very powerful economic countries backing it up. For instance, the aid that the USA has given so far is just pocket change. Think about it logically. The US has provided only 14 HIMARS and MLRS, yet it’s got around 1,500 of them in the US Army and US Marine Corp. As long as the west continues to help Ukraine it will be very difficult for Russia to win.

@anthonyinzerillo2804 Ukraine has admitted that it’s taken big losses, especially in the last couple weeks. Russia on the other hand has always lied about having low numbers lost. Ukraine was expected to lose troops these last two weeks. That’s what happens and what is expected when your forces go on the offensive. Have you not seen all the new territory liberated by the Ukrainians this week? Have you not seen how one town after another is being taken by Ukrainian forces? For the past two months Russia has gained very little and as Putin put it was pausing actions. In this last week alone Ukraine has taken back hundreds of square miles. For being the world’s second strongest military, Russia sure hasn’t shown it.

@anthonyinzerillo2804 How would you know that their numbers are outrageous, especially since for the most part Ukraine has been on the defense? Only recently has Ukraine gone on the offense, and they admitted taking heavy losses from it. You can find far more videos of Russian losses than the other way around. You’ve got no fucking idea if Ukraine has lost at least 150-300 men each day. You’re just taking a guess, and you know it. At the end of May Russia only reported losing around 3,000 men. Now that sounds a lot more ridiculous than what Ukraine has reported.
