  1. Useless technology? LOL, it’s far better than anything Russia or China has made. Even though the F-22 first flew nearly 30 years ago, neither Russia or China to this day have made a fighter that can match its stealth, power or radars. It just shows how far behind they are.

  2. A large part of why the YF-23 wasn’t chosen is because much of its development depended on unproven technologies, meaning that the costs were even more uncertain than the F-22s. The US also didn’t want to make the same mistake it made with the early F-4s thinking that all kills would be at BVR and therefore guns wouldn’t be needed.
