Does not matter if he was drunk. The fact that Russia paid money for decades to lease the base in Crimea shows that Russia itself treated Crimea as part of Ukraine. If Russia really opposed the transfer it would have done something about it at that particular time when it was gifted to Ukraine. It’s just like when squatters occupy another person’s land for a significant period of time, eventually they’ll own it unless the owner took measures through the years to protect it. Russia only intervened when Ukraine was siding with the EU, and it knew its days were numbered to control the Crimean base. Russia doesn’t own Crimea. It conquered the territory illegally. Crimea along with helping Assad pay for repairing Syria will take Russia’s economy down the drain.

Crimea Ukraine 👍

Didn’t you watch the video? Russia doesn’t have the technological capabilities on its own. It needs western companies to partner with it, but that will never happen.

@TatarProductions Because of its strategic value. It was explained in the video.

@lynne4499 That’s good to hear. I hate when politics gets in the way of every day essential needs for the people.

@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 It was absolutely an invasion. The fact that Putin lied that the troops inCrimea were just locals, when in fact they were Russia’s “little green men” all along. Russian troops hid their insignia acting as though they were locals while the rest of the world knew Russia was lying all along. The fact that Putin had to lie about it shows that what Russia did was wrong. Furthermore, under the Ukrainian Constitution the entire nation of Ukraine would need to vote on the referendum, not just Crimea. The referendum itself was illegal.

@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 Russia gave Crimea as a gift, that’s a fact. It makes no difference about the people’s ethnicity or nationality, and it doesn’t matter what transpired to make the gift happen. The FACT is putin lied about the invasion, and he only admitted the truth after Russia was busted. His lying shows that he knew what Russia did was wrong. The vote was not legal. Crimea is part of Ukraine, and the entire nation of Ukraine would need to vote on it, not just Crimea. For instance, if the people of Moscow held a referendum to be part of the EU and they voted in favor of it, would that be legal? Of course not. The facts are Russia sent troops into Crimea without insignias and Russia lied stating that they were merely local troops. Later on afterwards Putin admitted that he lied and that they were Russian troops all along. He referred to them as “little green men.” Furthermore, Russia paid lease money to use the naval base in Crimea. If Russia owned the area like you claim, it sure as hell wouldn’t have to pay to use it.

@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 It’s clear as day why Russia invaded. The little green men were Russian troops all along, don’t lie like other Russian trolls. Read “Putin Comes Clean On Crimea's Little Green Men” https://news.sky.com/story/amp/putin-comes-clean-on-crimeas-little-green-men-10368423 “On 17 April 2014, President Putin admitted publicly for the first time that Russian special forces were involved in the events of Crimea, for the purposes of protecting local people and creating conditions for a referendum.Later, he admitted that the Russian Armed Forces had blocked the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Crimea during the events.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_green_men_(Ukrainian_crisis)#Official_Russian_reaction “From 'Not Us' To 'Why Hide It?': How Russia Denied Its Crimea Invasion, Then Admitted It” https://www.rferl.org/amp/from-not-us-to-why-hide-it-how-russia-denied-its-crimea-invasion-then-admitted-it/29791806.html That’s just three of many links that can be easily found with Google. The fact that you have to lie tells me that you know yourself that you’re wrong. I don’t have time for such childish games. Russia saw that the Ukraine was potentially going to side with the EU, and it couldn’t allow the loss of such a strategic base. I don’t have time for liars, bye. I will end this off with a joke though. How many Russians does it take to screw in a lightbulb? 1001, one to screw it in and another 1000 to spread propaganda claiming it never burnt out. 😂

@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 Good joke! I like it. Sure there might be some Russians who live in Crimea, but the territory itself is Ukrainian. For instance, if there were more Germans in Moscow than Russians, would that make Moscow German territory? Of course not. Russia can claim that Crimea is its own territory, but most of the rest of the world doesn’t recognize it, hence the sanctions. Once you give a gift you can’t take it back, it’s not yours anymore. Only a child would do something like that. Fact is that Russia illegally conquered the territory. Maybe one day nations worldwide will recognize that Crimea is part of Russia, but I doubt it will be during our lifetime. Unfortunately for Russia it will continue to have sanctioned levied against it as a result. Russia is losing out on billions because of it. Russia rarely admits when it’s effective, but recently it was revealed that it’s hurting its space programs as well. Like I said, if Russia didn’t do anything wrong it sure wouldn’t have lied about it.

@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 Do you have a reading comprehension problem? Like I said multiple times before, demographics don’t mean anything. How many times do I need to explain it? So if a mass number of Germans decided to move to Moscow, hold illegal elections, and they voted in favor of making Moscow part of Germany, would that be right? Of course not. Facts are Russia gave Crimea to Ukraine as a gift. You can’t just take a gift back just because you now want it, it’s no longer yours. Russia’s actions themselves by paying Ukraine to lease the naval base in Crimea further confirms that Russia considers the area Ukraine’s. You’re the one who lost. You have no ability to use common sense or reason.
1
@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 Plain and simple, it is not about demographics. If that was the case Russia would not have been paying to lease the naval base for all those years. If that was the case Crimea would not be shown in the world map as being part of Ukraine. If that was the case Russia wouldn’t have lied about the little green men. Your argument makes no sense. Just because your nationality is from a nation and you move somewhere to live that does make it your home country’s territory. Don’t be so fucking stupid. You’re wrong! Accept it. I feel like I am arguing with a child. You use no common sense, reason, or logic. Tell me if just one other case where demographics have made the determination of ownership. There are no other cases. Your argument is absolutely retarded.
1
@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 You do realize that Putin planned to take over Crimea before the referendum don’t you? You do realize that Russian troops wouldn’t let Ukrainian troops anywhere near the polls during the referendum don’t you? Even using your retarded logic, before the referendum when Crimea was still technically Ukrainian, Ukraine representatives weren’t allowed near the polls, or its troops either. According to your crazy logic the USA should own Rocky Point, Mexico. Far more Americans are there than Mexicans. And according to you if the people of Moscow held a referendum to join the EU then it should be allowed. That’s stupid and you know it. Russia wouldn’t allow the referendum in the first place, but Ukraine never had that opportunity because russian troops had already taken control of the territory. Think for once, child.

@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 Not only was the referendum illegal, it was rigged. @BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 Continued.,,. You are a child, a spoiled brat. You do realize that Putin had already planned to take over Crimea before the referendum? You do realize that Ukrainian officials weren’t allowed to be present during the referendum, despite the fact that Crimea was still Ukrainian? Your argument holds no water. You’re wrong on so many levels it’s ridiculous.
1
@BolshevikCarpetbagger1917 Doesn’t matter, at the time of the referendum Ukrainian officials were denied the ability to monitor the election. That’s definitely not a fair election when the home country cannot even have its own officials present. The whole referendum was a sham, and the rest of the world knows it. It’s easy to see why Russia has so few allies. It’s dishonest, can’t be trusted, and it makes up its own story lines. In the end Russia is getting what it deserves, sanctions. I hope they continue indefinitely. And quite frankly your personal opinion means little to me. For all I know you’re just one of those paid Russian trolls who spreads hatred and lies, while trying to build up Russia’s shitty reputation. It’s pretty pathetic when Russia has to hire an army of trolls to spread lies on its behalf. Face it yourself, you’re wrong and you can’t accept reality. Crimea was never Ukrainian? LOL, now you’re being a hypocrite. If Crimea was never Ukrainian why would a referendum be needed fool? Go back and read your own posts acknowledging it. Crimea was and still is Ukrainian. Only a child would take away a gift and keep it for itself.

@oliverduke1173 Care to explain your irrational thinking? You’re not a squatter if you own the territory, and the fact that Russia paid Ukraine to use the naval base further confirms that Ukraine was the rightful owner.
