  2. People often don’t realize that stealth not only helps with making it much difficult to detect, but it makes it particularly difficult to get a radar lock onto the aircraft. Imagine that if it’s difficult for a large and powerful SAM site has just detecting it, the stealth makes it especially difficult for the seeker head of a missile to get a lock onto the aircraft.

  5. The F-15’s ability to carry a large number of miles allows it to be a missile truck for stealth fighters. While the F-22s can launch the missiles from out of the range of enemy fighters, stealth fighters like the F-22 and F-35 can guide them to the targets. It gives the stealth fighters more weapons at their disposal while they remain in a stealth profile.

  7. The F-16 is known for being small. It’s one reason why it’s hard to dogfight, it’s so hard to see. It also has the bubble canopy that gives the pilot great visual acuity.
