  1. People often don’t realize that stealth not only helps with making it much difficult to detect, but it makes it particularly difficult to get a radar lock onto the aircraft. Imagine that if it’s difficult for a large and powerful SAM site has just detecting it, the stealth makes it especially difficult for the seeker head of a missile to get a lock onto the aircraft.
