  1. So Zelenskyy first approached Trump with the idea of trading certain Ukrainian mineral rights in exchange for US continued support, which Trump gladly accepted. Now Zelenskyy has added as a condition that the U.S. must provide security guarantees too. That wasn’t his original offer. And while Zelenskyy changes the offer, the rest of Europe thinks that the U.S. should just keep giving Ukraine free weapons, while they sat back and did little for their defense industry for decades. Please make it make sense. The level of entitlement is absurd.

You should watch all the videos from Russian soldiers who describe how poorly they are treated, and how they are forced to go attacks against fortifying positions. Russia’s has one big advantage, a large supply of manpower. It’s why Russia uses them so carelessly.

It’s Russia that didn’t hold up its promises under the Budapest Memorandum to never invade Ukraine in exchange of it giving up its nukes. Why shouldn’t Ukraine be able to join NATO? It’s an independent country that can make its own decisions. Do you blame them for wanting to join NATO? Just look at what happens to the countries that don’t.

It’s why the Baltic countries are helping Ukraine the most as a percentage of GNP. And why is it that Russia had no problem with Sweden and Finland joining the alliance, but Ukraine can’t?

Its military is much smaller than Russia’s and it doesn’t have nearly as many soldiers as Russia. Ukraine’s military wasn’t even ranked in the top twenty at the start of the war. I think they’ve done quite well considering how they were outgunned and outmanned.

It knows it will lose any support that it has from countries like China and India if it uses nuclear weapons. Russia threatens to use nukes because it is weak. Russia is allowed to use North Korean and Iranian missiles deep inside Ukraine, but if Ukraine uses U.S. weapons deep inside Russia oh no, that’s against all rules. How embarrassing it must be to have to threaten to use nuclear weapons unless the west lets Russia win.

  23. I agree. If you go to the pro Ukrainian channels, they all want Russia to give back all the land. When asked how exactly will that happen, and if they think Russia will voluntarily give it back, they go silent. Ukraine, as well as the EU countries, would love to see the US go to war to take the land back. That’s the only possible way for Ukraine to get back the land, or if Russia possibly collapses, but who knows how long that will take. The US has warned its fellow NATO members of the need to increase their military spending for over a decade, and to stop buying so much Russian oil and gas. They pretty much replied that the US needed to mind its own business, and they did the exact opposite, and now they expect the U.S. to pay for their negligence.

The U.S. is helping protect many other areas of the world. It’s time for the European countries to step up as they are some of the wealthiest nations in the world. And what are the exact requirements of what you’re referencing because there are conflicts all around the world, and the US can’t possibly help in every case.

European countries are very wealthy in comparison to much of the rest of the world. It’s good to see that they want to participate in keeping peace in the region.

Russia’s soldiers have looted, raped, maimed, tortured and murdered innocent people, including kids. Torture chambers have been found, as well as massive grave sites. One Russian soldier even talked about how only old ladies remain in the towns they occupy because the soldiers have raped and murdered all the younger women and girls.

  37. It was Russia that invaded Ukraine for no justifiable reason. This is Russia’s war, not NATO. The US has provided Ukraine with less than 5% of its annual defense budget and Russia still can’t win, even though much of the equipment that the west has provided Ukraine is from old stockpiles no longer in use. Russia’s Black Sea fleet has gone into hiding. Russia’s Air Force is unable to achieve air superiority over Ukraine. And Russia’s army has suffered huge losses against a country that wasn’t even ranked as a top 20 power at the start of the war. Russia’s military is literally being mocked at around the world.

The Ukrainian people were expecting to join the EU, but Yanukovych went back on his word. Of course the Ukrainian people would be upset when they see that the European countries have much better living standards than ordinary Russians. It was also a lie about Ukrainian atrocities in the Donbas region. Ukraine challenged Russia to provide evidence to the United Nations, but Russia did what everyone expected, it boycotted the hearings because it didn’t have any proof. Try spreading your lies somewhere else like Russia’s RuTube. The west has gotten so accustomed to Russian lies that we expect it.

Imagine if Russia had to go up against a modern military, one with a very large and advanced air force, a modern army that’s significantly larger than Ukraine’s, and a real navy. Russia wouldn’t last a month.
