@a.p.3004 The US leases those bases. If a country won’t renew the lease, then the US has to leave. A good example is the Philippines. They didn’t renew the lease, and yet now they’re asking for US help to counter China’s aggression in the South China Sea. Russia attacked Ukraine for no good reason, just lies. And in the process they’ve committed horrific atrocities. Is that something you support?

@a.p.3004 Not at all. If they don’t want to lease the base then the US leaves, just like what happened in the Philippines. This is unlike Russia, which invaded Crimea when Ukraine told them it wasn’t going to renew the lease.

They should deport all the pro-Russians, if they think it’s so great. They’re hypocrites by living in Germany, celebrating Russia’s defeat of Germany, and boasting about Russia.

@milansimonovic8267 NATO didn’t bomb Serbia into oblivion. In fact, only around 500 people died. In Mariupol alone, Russia has killed over 10,000 people. And maybe if Serbia didn’t commit atrocities against the Albanians then NATO would not need to get involved.

@bdjmontenegro There’s a big difference. Serbia was committing atrocities against the Albanians, and mass grave sites were found. The world has seen evidence of it. Russia made claims that Ukraine has committed atrocities, including that it found mass grave sites, but to this day it still hasn’t shown any proof. And when Ukraine challenged Russia to present evidence to the UN, Russia boycotted the hearings. And NATO did not require Serbia to declare itself neutral, and NATO is a defensive alliance. Every nation that has joined has willingly done so. Russia should have no right to determine what nations that Ukraine wants to be aligned with. In fact, Ukraine already requested to join the alliance, but it was denied. There were no plans by NATO to add it to the alliance either. Russia was looking for any excuse to attack Ukraine, and every reason it has used are lies. Serbia lost approximately 500 people. That’s a fraction of the deaths that Russia is causing in Ukraine. Russia is also committing horrific atrocities in Ukraine, including maiming, torturing, looting, and murdering innocent people. It’s beyond me how you can defend Russia when you know all the suffering that it’s caused.

@bdjmontenegro That’s not factual information. Russia claims 14,000 people have been killed and has blamed Ukraine for committing atrocities. If Ukraine committed these atrocities like Russia says, Russia would have provided proof to the UN. Instead Russia ran away and boycotted the hearings. NATO attacked Yugoslavia because of the horrific crimes that the Serbs committed against the Albanians. There are mass grave sites in Serbia, and the crimes are well documented. It’s not the BS lies that Russia is making up. You obviously know little about what wars that NATO has ever gotten involved in. Did NATO attack Afghanistan? No, the US attacked because of Al Qaeda’s attack in 9-11. Some NATO nations sent troops to Afghanistan, but it wasn’t under the alliance under NATO. Neither was Libya or Syria. Certain NATO member countries fought in the wars, but it wasn’t the NATO alliance. Tell me, what countries has NATO ever attacked to conquer territory? None! It’s not like Russia. If NATO is bs you wouldn’t find so many nations wanting to be members.

@bdjmontenegro That’s not my point. My point was that Russia claims that Ukraine committed atrocities, but there’s no proof. Why shouldn’t Ukraine fight for its territory? Russia made a promise to not attack Ukraine and to respect its sovereignty in exchange for Ukraine giving Russia its nuclear weapons. Russia broke its promise. Of course Ukraine is going to fight for its territory and people are going to needlessly die. It’s Russia that has all along supported the Russian separatists that has kept this war ongoing. WTF do you expect, Ukraine to just give the territory away? When the Chechnya was fighting for its independence did Russia just give it up? Of course not. Be sensible.

@bdjmontenegro I agree that diplomacy is always best. But, I think the Minsk agreement had horrible terms that forced Ukraine to give away its own territory. Ukraine was just trying to avoid a war. It was practically bullied into signing it knowing full well the consequences if it didn’t. The territory isn’t Russia’s to give away. I agree with you about Kosovo. If there weren’t mass grave sites and the intentional killings of innocent people NATO intervention wouldn’t have been necessary. I still remember clearly Sniper Alley,?where kids crossing an alley would get picked off by snipers. I don’t know how anyone could do such a thing.

There’s a big difference. Serbia committed atrocities against the Albanians. There are massive grave sites found, and you can easily find examples using Google. Don’t ask for a link because you already know that YouTube won’t accept it. Russia on the other hand invaded Crimea. The fact that Russia First lied about it by saying that it was just locals taking over the territory, and then later admitted that its “little green men” were Russian troops all along just proves that what Russia did was wrong. Why should the world reward Russia for invading Ukraine based on nothing but lies?

@bdjmontenegro The referendum of Crimea was not valid. It would have taken the whole nation of Ukraine to vote on the referendum, not just the people in Crimea. Yes, Russia has a military base in Crimea, which it paid lease money to use. The fact that Russia paid for rights for so many decades to use it further signifies that Russia didn’t own the area. There’s a big difference between what Russia has done and what NATO has done. Russia attacked Ukraine on nothing but lies, and its objective is to conquer territory and align it with its own interests. NATO doesn’t invade countries for that purpose, and it doesn’t make up lies to try to justify its actions. Are you not happy that there’s no more war going on in Serbia, and where there’s violent unrest between the Serbs and Albanians? Personally I’d have no problem with Kosovo going back to Serbia, as long as it remains peaceful.
