  1. It was happening all the time. The question is what were they thinking shooting down an aircraft at such a high altitude. It wasn’t like Ukraine was bombing them from high altitudes.

  2.  @zzanek  There’s a big difference. At that time Ukraine and Russia were allies. In fact the shooting down of the airliner took place during joint exercises.
