  2. Overpriced? The US competes in tenders that wins the competitions. Keep in mind that Europe has a huge trade surplus with the USA. If European countries stop buying US weapons, the USA will just buy other goods from other countries. It’s not a trade war that Europe wants to get into.

  3.  @blackseed9293 What war in particular are you referring to? The first war with Iraq that was approved by the United Nations? Or the war in Afghanistan where European countries sent token forces, despite the fact that ISIS and Al Qaeda are a worldwide problem. Or do you mean how Europe suckered the U.S. into the war with Libya? Even the war in Serbia was European driven, but rightly so. It was the Europeans who first discovered the atrocities in Serbia.

  4.  @blackseed9293  So you’re saying that the U.S. caused the war in Ukraine? You’re kidding right? It’s all on Putin, nobody else. Without US aid Ukraine would have lost by now. So after 9-11 do you think that the US should have allowed Al Qaeda to continue to have a safe haven in Afghanistan? Do you think that Saddam should been allowed to keep Kuwait? The second war in Iraq was because the U.S. and UK both thought Saddam still had WMDs. In hindsight it’s easy to say that war should have been avoided, but at the time it was thought Saddam still possessed chemical weapons.

  8. Why are the European countries so surprised? Trump warned last time when he was president that the fellow NATO members needed to significantly increase defense spending or that he would pull the US out of NATO. He also said that the Europeans needed to buy less Russian oil and gas. The Europeans did the exact opposite. You could see the writing on the wall a mile away. Even during these last three years European countries have done little to increase their military strength.
