@janeharrison835 I have no problem with the US helping, but it’s absolutely ridiculous that Ukraine’s survival is dependent on the US. EU countries are very wealthy, and they have large arms stockpiles themselves. A good example are Patriot batteries. EU countries have over a hundred of them, and yet they won’t provide Ukraine with just seven that it requested. Europe is more directly threatened by Russia, and the US has military alliances globally. It can’t be everywhere for everyone, and Europe depending on the US is pure entitlement.

@janeharrison835 A don’t give me the nonsense about the US being far more wealthy. Look at the standard of living index and you’ll see EU countries living at the top of the wealth chain. Europe has been negligent for decades on spending for defense spending. It’s relied on the US at the expense of the American taxpayer. European countries have their own wealth of resources, and instead of playing the blame game they need to step up more.

@janeharrison835 The Ukrainians have been begging for Patriots for years, and until recently Europe would not go outside to find artillery. The point is that I am all for the US helping Ukraine, but there’s something wrong when five other NATO members have top ten economies and they can’t help Ukraine enough to stop Russia. Trump warned fellow NATO members years ago that they needed to pull their weight, they ignored him. He even threatened to pull the US out of NATO. If Trump gets elected again that’s a real possibility. Europe needs to figure out a way fast because Ukraine is screwed if it doesn’t.
