  1. Another MAGA argument is that the costs of helping Ukraine could be used better by helping Americans who are struggling. The problem with this argument is that in the short term it might be true, but in the long run the costs of defending against Russia far outweigh the costs of helping Ukraine right now. The US has literally spent trillions over decades helping defend against Russia. What we’re spending now is minor, and our support is helping take down the US’s biggest adversary for decades in the past.
