They’re not going to get A-10s. They’re old and not being produced. The USAF is already having a parts shortage on its own. Ukraine would have even a harder time getting the spare parts. Plus, it’s an aircraft used when air superiority has been achieved. Ukraine isn’t going to rule the skies so these aren’t the best aircraft for Ukraine’s needs. Aircraft like the Gripen, F-16, Rafale, and Eurofighter would be much better suited for the war.

@stephenglover8828 How did Russia’s last two winter offensives work out? How did Russia’s taking Kiev pan out? The one thing we’ve all learned is that Russia’s military has been significantly overestimated in power and capabilities.

@Xenomorphine There’s been some discussions about upgrading the F-16s to carry a more modern radar, but it could cause additional delays which is something Ukraine doesn’t need. I guess we’ll just need to wait and see. I did a little research on why the US won’t provide F-16s, and found , The administration had been focused on providing Ukraine with weapons — including air defense systems, armored vehicles, bridging equipment and artillery — that were needed for a coming counteroffensive. There also were concerns that sending F-16s would eat up a significant portion of the money allocated for Ukraine.

@ryangomez4462 I totally support helping Ukraine, but I don’t know if any obligations that require the US to provide assistance. And the terms in the Budapest Memorandum says nothing about it. I’ve read the document multiple times, and the only country that has broken its promises is Russia.

@richardthomas5362 Trump screwed up big time. He wants the House Republicans to drag their heels and not pass legislation that will help resolve the border crisis. Trump doesn’t want Biden to get any credit and wants the credit for himself. His selfishness has cost him many voters. If the border is in such a crisis, and Trump really wants to slow the flow of immigrants, he’d favor the legislation that the Senate just drafted. Trump also screwed himself by not supporting Ukraine. The majority of the American public supports Ukraine, and his trying to stop aiding Ukraine has backfired against him.

@stephenglover8828 The US didn’t create this mess, it was Russia. Just like every other pro-Russian you blame the US for everything. Russia started this war, and the western countries that value democracy should help it defend itself.
