@maryginger4877 Russia at one time held 27% of Ukraine, but now it’s only around 20%. Yes, Russia is making gains, very small gains while losing large numbers of troops and equipment. Ukraine doesn’t have the luxury of a large population like Russia. It needs to be more careful about its losses. Russia in the meantime is taken heavy losses. Russia’s using 60 year old tanks, artillery, etc., and it has had to go to North Korea and Iran for help. Considering that Russia supposed to be a world power, it has shown that it’s at best a regional power.

Russia won’t agree to the 1991 borders. It’s not going to give up the land it’s taken, especially with the high losses that it’s suffered to take it. Ukraine doesn’t have the manpower to retake the land. It’s going to need to really think about how much land it’s willing to give in exchange for peace.

@gawkthimm6030 Biden and Harris are too chicken to do anything like that. I’m sure there are foreign pilots who would volunteer, but I don’t see Biden allowing that to happen. He’s too afraid to “escalate” the situation.

@tracboy80 I hope you’re right. Ukraine depends a lot on foreign aid. Germany already stated it won’t be providing as much as it has in the past, and depending on who is elected in the USA the aid can be possibly be reduced even further. The fact that Russia has to offer such high salaries to recruit new soldiers is telling that it’s having a hard time finding new cannon fodder.
