@annunnaki5013 This is from the IMF URL: “On Russia we have, indeed, revised upwards our projection for 2023 to 0.7 percent. That is an upward revision by 0.4 percentage points. And we revised downward for 2024 to 1.3 percent. That is a downward revision by about 0.8 percentage points.” The longer the sanctions are in place the more harmful effects it will have on the economy.

@annunnaki5013 The sanctions haven’t been in place for very long. It takes time for them to take effect, especially if Russia held large inventories. It’s also helped Russia that both China and India bought large amounts of oil, although at huge discounts. What’s really going to hurt Russia is not having full access to western technology. Also, Russia’s growth potential was much larger before the sanctions were imposed.
