  1. Time to index the tax brackets. Then we can focus on where the brackets sit, the rates, and the amount of tax that needs to be collected.

  2.  @brad3675  your proposal is not indexed. When inflation happens, there will be talk about lifting 45k. This conversation is a distraction. Instead (using your suggestion) 45k could be indexed to something (or a multiple things). Eg if indexed to inflation and inflation rose my 5% , then the tax free threshold would automatically increase my 5%. (That’s just a basic example. There are better things to index the brackets against)
