  1. Not really. Driving is such an inefficient use of resources compared with public transport. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s nice to enjoy being in your own car. Working from home has lead to more people moving further from the city. The rail loop will now be busy than they expected from when it was first announced. And if petrol prices increase further, more people will turn to public transport. One of the reasons fewer people use public transport is the frequency of trains. The city loop is the bottleneck. The frequency can be greatly increased once the new CBD tunnel and stations open.
