Perfect timing on this video. I just finished watching Season 2 a few hours ago, today. I clicked on this right away. Thank you!

A video just on the study of the character Omar on his own would be quite interesting as well. Would also love seeing a montage of his greatest Wire moments.✌🏼

Thank you. Excellent analysis as always Thomas. I’m very pleased you did something about this film. I would say visually this was the most appealing film I’ve watched in the last 2-3 years.

In memory of Rutger Hauer (Perspective) - R.I.P. “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser Gate. All those . . . moments will be lost . . . in time. Like . . . tears . . . in rain. Time . . . to die.” DECKARD: I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life, anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Why would anyone want to skip any of it at all? The entire series is a pleasure to watch and the unique experience it offers (to be able to watch something so well crafted) is outstanding. The Wire is also what largely relaunched the golden of age of television, together with setting the bar and standards higher for TV Series shows in general that have high production value and quality, and which has inspired nearly everything with regards to where television is now. If nothing else, it is worth watching the whole thing for the historical value of the series alone, which still feels relevant today, and for a lesson in the true art of story telling.

Reed Holland yeah, there were so many interesting dimensions and contradictions within Omar’s persona. I think Tyler Durden might be my favorite character of all time though, with Omar as a close second. Project Mayhem 👉💯.
