  1. The thing is. Infrastructure costs remain relatively the same regardless of how many people use it. But with fewer people using it you have less money to maintain it. Yes you could perhaps begin removing some of it and demolish some old under populated neighborhoods. But that would also divert your diminishing manpower away from maintaining the Infrastructure you still do need. No easy solutions here.

  4. @SigFigNewton  I mean Japan has adapted to a real estate market where houses have basically become like cars. But they are the exception. And they still can't overcome the diminishing work force problem. So how do we address that?
