  2. ​ @dagda3000  Poland did have a plan in place for this eventuality despite being very dependent on Russian gas themselves. They built a pipeline to Norway and a regasification plant on one of their ports. Just in case Russia ever decided to pull the plug. They also considered but haven't yet committed to building nuclear power plants.

  3. @stevehayward1854  Germany doesn't have anywhere near enough sun or enough wind for that to be viable. What's more, since energy storage isn't viable either wind and solar requires natural gas as it's back up. It would be better if they just built and maintained proper nuclear power plants.
