@jonathanm4019 So if the sea is called South China Sea, then it must belong to China?? Even if it is international waters? Nice logic!! I have a dog called Alaskan Husky, but I don't live in Alaska. Is Alaska the owner of this dog?

@mohammadzain32 Yes, it actually does. If you want to discuss Israel for example, there is plenty of threads here nowadays. Why on earth should we discuss that in this thread. Show some "netiquette", keep the threads clean!

@Haunt888 It is not China's backyard. The Philippines, Vietnam and Brunei are closer to these waters than China. But China has taken an aggressive stand in these waters (In 2016, an international tribunal in The Hague concluded that China has no legal basis to claim historic rights to the bulk of the South China Sea. China has ignored the ruling ). Canada are there in a joint operation with several other countries and patrols an international trade route in international waters.
