Eu has a few percent borders to russia, so it is of course impossible to encircle. What an ridiculous argument! And is that a threat in the first place!?? NATO has NEVER been a threat to russia. It's just russian misinformation to fool their own population to vote for this regime again. There are two reasons for this invasion. putin is afraid of democracy. If the former Soviet Union states are becoming (and sees that this is much better for them) democracies, then putin is afraid that this would spill over into russia. Then he will lose power. The other reason is putin's long term plan of reestablish the Soviet Union as Great Russia, with him as the all-powerful tsar. THIS is the reason and nothing else. It has nothing to do with either security, denazifying, satanism or other obscure russian excuses.

  15.  @dragan3290  "Russia = attacker, Ukraine = defender!" That is 100 % correct. CNN are not a propaganda channel, but all the russian state controlled media are. (So in practice it means everyone, since everyone else are shut down by the fascist russian regime)
