@leonmat26 missionaries is actually a term for those spreading religion from the church. Maybe you are talking about conquistador and spanish government. The church did some bad stuff with ameriindians but most of the brutal oppression you said are from central government. The most aggresive thing missionary did was the one that led pueblo rebellion but after that the church never tried to do such thing again

@leonmat26 literally at that time the church were separate entity from the nobility, king and the merchant so you cant just said all of it is the work of missionary. Most of the oppression was to fuel spain's need for warships and soldiers anyway to maintain their european hegemony
