  1. The reason Neanderthal dna is reducing with time is that the Neanderthal population was quite small, covered a large area and were quite inbred. They had a lot of deleterious mutations due to this inbreeding. The genealogical ancestry from Neanderthals is 10 - 20%, but the genetic ancestry is 2%.

  5. Probably ambush hunters. It's no surprise with those short stubby legs, and those extra long arms. Running would be ungainly and quite obvious to prey.
