  1. Greece, how boring. The Greeks or the inhabitants of what is now Greece were slightly changed by the Indo-Europeans like most Southern Europeans. They were basically Neolithic farmers with some minor WHG ancestry. They also had Iranian farmer ancestry from the Bronze Age. It was only after the coming of Slavs from Poland and the Ukraine that changed mainland Greeks after the 4th century CE, otherwise Greeks would be like Calabrian Italians.

So no Jews, no Gypsies, no Poles, no Belarus, no Russians, not even South Slavs like Bulgarians... all dust. And there are Europeans in the UK, France, Italy...who wanted that too. Remember that. +

  5. I don't understand Russian, and I have to say you can speak very fast without seeming to draw breath. It was very interesting for me particularly about the HGs living east of the Black Sea/Baltic Sea boundary. Also the prominence of the Globular Amphora Neolithic farmers in the ancestry of Northern and Central Europeans compared to Europeans further south whose ancestry is more like the original Anatolian farmers that spread into Europe.

My oh my, such a lot of hatred towards an insignificant group of people who like the Lilies of the Field neither reap nor sow, and have none of the benefits of those flowers, the fragrance and beauty. As a Southern European, Ashkenazi Jews, the most European ones, are the bane of my dna tests. The reason is these Jews cluster quite closely to my ethnic group, probably more closer to Southern Italians, Greek Islanders and Sicilians than to mine, but still very close. Many programs put them closer to me than my own ethnic group, yet I have no Ashkenazi Jews as matches even distant ones. My matches are of my own ethnic group. One thing about Jews is that they do not cluster with any landmass, they just cluster in the Mediterranean Sea. Southern Italians, Greek Islanders, Sicilians and my ethnic group cluster where they are found in Italy, Sicily and parts of Greece, but Jews sort of float between Sicily, Southern Italy, and the Aegean Sea. Between mainland Greece and Crete is where the majority of Jews locate. Greeks have a Slavic component. I thought everyone knew that Ashkenazi Jews are the result of Southern and Central Italian women and Levantine Men sometime after the majority of Central Italians were highly admixed with Anatolian Greek speaking immigrants that moved to Italy after the late Imperial Age of Rome when foreign admixture in Italians was at its highest.
