  1. Sephardi Jews lived in Spain because that is where they went, they had no Spanish ancestry. Ashkenazi Jews are not German, they moved to Germany. Sephardi Jews in the Netherlands are different from those that lived in Greece or Bulgaria. Genetically Sephardi Jews are not Mizrahi Jews, and Middle Eastern Jews are better labelled from the countries they lived in. The rest of what you said it from an Israeli point of view. Outside Israel Mizrahi Jews come from Middle Eastern countries, there is no confusion with Sephardi or Ashkenazi Jews.

  2. Sort of Sepharad means Spain, the Sephardi were never Spanish and neither were the Moors. Some Mizrahi Jews left otherwise there would be no Ashkenazi or Sephardi.
