yohan cruyff what critical thought would you be speaking of? The one that knows that sending your minor children alone without proper parental supervision thousands of miles is plain stupid and reckless. Or the critical data that isn't disputed about how many people Obama deported and separated? What delusions do you speak of? It's pretty simple unless you are from Nicaragua, you are not entitled to asylum, so do not endanger yourself or your family to come here ILLEGALLY. So your next statement will most likely call me racist or something along those lines because I dont want migrants from central America. I love the Latin people and Latin culture, I love it. I lived in a border town for many years, I have seen first hand what the positives and negatives are of immigration. I encourage those from central America seeking a better life to come here, be a productive part of the community and bring their culture to share, but LEGALLY like the millions before them.its simple, their is a right way and a wrong way to do things, just because your life is rough doesn't justify doing it the wrong way. If you are in generous fear for your life, present yourself to a port of entry, declare asylum and wait for your hearing. Do not under any circumstances enter the country illegally. So what part of all that says I am delusional and without any critical thought? That's what I thought.

yohan cruyff well look who decided to wake up and bring their brain cells to the conversation. Well let's address this maze of liberal spew! I turn to immediate criticism of Obama? Really, 2 years after he is gone, and 6 years after his botched immigration policies, is immediate? You seemed well versed in the topic so no need to explain all the little details. But let's get right to the nuts and bolts. Obama was responsible for detaining and separating 500 times more families and children then Trump. Look at that number 500 times more, and only received a fraction of the negative publicity and protests that Trump endured. So to battle me about who deserves what and why is futile, as they cannot even be closely resembled. Trump is not even a full step near Obama's failed immigration. Your right there was a few independent non profit Mexican American organizations protesting Obama, a few, and in fact it only got the national level in the news for a week or two. Trump it doesn't matter what he does, right or wrong on the immigration front he is crusified by liberals both regionally and nationally. Take the wall for example. If the wall was built, making it extremely difficult for the thousands of illegals to cross, forcing them to enter at ports of entry how is that a bad thing? If a wall slows down or stops the truck loads of heroin coming in from Mexico isn't that worth it? How about reducing child and human trafficking across the border, isnt that worth a wall? Just because a wall is built doesn't mean the sign says closed. It just means come in through the front gate, not over or under the fence. Liberals and let's be honest Latin American citizens feel Trump is racist because he wants to build a wall to keep people out, when we know that isnt the case. But liberals use that to push their hate agenda to improve their numbers. Now why are migrants tracking thousands of miles through some of the roughest land in the Americas is a whole separate subject, but let's met into it. First off, it is not Americas responsibility to insure sovereign nations are doing the right thing for their people. It is not our responsibility to force El Salvador, Guatemala or Honduras to police their streets and cities, and rid their country of gangs and cartels. That is the duty and responsibility of every sovereign nation, not us. Now you mention the United States Latin American policies that led to this, first let me correct you on one thing. Most of not all Latin American nations that the US has put pressure on either in a good way or bad way is because their own levels of corruption could not allow the people to elect whom they wanted. Also because of the volatility in most of the region the US had to protect its national security and its global place against block nations such as Russia. Dont believe everything you read, US and Latin American policies are very complex and dynamic, and can never be predicted. But what involvement in Latin America we did have has no bearing on creating environments for gangs and drug cartels to thrive in. We put our fingers on the scales to insure a more US friendly leadership was in place to hold back communism. I would be more apt at saying Americans drug addictions fueled the crime and gangs in America. But that wouldn't mean it was solely an American problem, which doesn't help the liberal agenda. So should the US accept the mass levels of migrants because we supported certain regimes or leaders? No of course not. So do not try to say failed american policies are the cause of the mass migration of central American nationals. The people of central America have a gang and drug problem, that there government fails to address. That is why their is migration, and illegal entry. A poor economic environment in El Salvador or any central American country is not a legitimate reason to violate a sovereign nations borders. If you are being persecuted by your country for your race, color, religion or political beliefs such as in Nicaragua right now, then you have a ligitamate reason to migrate for asylum. Street gangs recruiting your children is not grounds for asylum. The US has no control over central American countries economies and to assume so is naive at best. Trade policies are only good for countries that have something to offerAmerica, and most central American countries do not have anything to offer. That doesn't mean we created the problem, nor are we the only nation to trade with. So what Americas Latin America policy is, doesn't justify illegal immigration.

yohan cruyff no matter what you believe America did in Latin America with trade and economy, it is not our responsibility how a sovereign nation conducts their trade and economy. When is the last time you saw something that said made in Honduras? None of the northern triangle countries have any exportable commodities that are of interest to the US or other countries, so how is that our fault? Familes were separated long before Trump began to do it. The US has a law about playing children in detention or prison, so they had to be separated. ICE and CBP have facilities that can house detainee's together, but they are filled to the max by asylum seekers so separation was not a choice for us, it was from necessity. No we do not have the responsibility to fix what you perceive as wrongs we committed. Please tell me what action the US has taken that condones mass migration from central America in the last 10 years? Mexico has flourished into a manufacturing powerhouse thanks to their US trade agreement, so please tell me what the US did that justifies illegal immigration? And by the way, if your going to another country in the Hope's of entering legally or illegally, it would be prudent that you understand the laws to get in. And if migrants crossed at ports of entry then they would know the law, and they would know what to do, and in most cases they are turned away because they are not eligible for asylum, refugee or TPS. So then they cross the border illegally.

yohan cruyff How is the Trump administration and ICE inhumane? What is the definition of inhumane when it comes to immigration? Yes, crossing the border or entering the country illegally is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 months in prison, and a felony the second time punishable by up to two years in prison. It's pretty straight forward laws, you break them, you go to jail. If you break a law in the United states you go to jail, if you have children or not, you still go to jail. There is plenty of defense for, what our country does to illegally aliens entering the country. We are a society of law, a well laid out society with laws that pertain to all of us and we must follow them irregardless of how we feel or our emotions. Laws are written to protect us and our resources from illogical decisions based on emotions and opinions. The US cannot just randomly let people into the country without managing and controlling it, or the system would fail and resources would be depleted and we would all suffer because of a few. There is nothing inhumane about American immigration policy, we are not keeping anyone in against their will, we are simply managing those who wish to enter. If you enter illegally, then there is no one to blame but those who broke the law. What about the millions and millions of legal immigrants that have entered this country for over 200 years? Are we to just throw away all the hard work and time they devoted to becoming American? No we don't! Enter at a port of entry like a civil human being and you will be treated like one, enter illegally like an animal crawling under a fence and you will be treated as such.
