@violdagamba needing assistance IS being financially irresponible, even the man in the video acknowledges that. First of all no one pays hundreds of dollars for insulin, I know I take it every day. Tell your mother to go to Walmart and get on their insulin program. She will only need to put out $40 per month. Unemployment insurance is not assistance because you pay into the state system. It is deducted from your pay each week. Its kind of like social security in the sense you put in, and take out as needed. There is no federal assistance for autistic children, there is state aid paid through school taxes. My sisters son is severely autistic, and when he turns 18 he will get state and Medicare. You say programs paid for by taxes, yet what program during covid19 is paid by taxes? None. A man, as in this video, that doesnt have 3 - 6 months of enough money to cover 3-6 months of his bills is irresponsible. I maintain 12 months of mortgage and utilities, and all financial professionals will tell you to have a minimum of months of bills saved. The tax payers cannot be financially responsible for 90 million people because they weren't responible enough to have money saved. Another stimulus bill will raise our personal income taxes by an estimated 10%. Sorry, but i refuse to let lawmakers send out more money to people who are irresponsible and make me pay 10% more in taxes. This video is about a man protesting to not pay his rent, because he wasn't responible enough to save money. He wants landlords and the government to pay his rent. What about the doctors and nurses and other people working through the pandemic making the same amount of money. While unemployed are getting unemployment and an additional $600 per week to stay home. Pay your rent/mortgage, utilities and bills just like everyone else. Nothing in life is free, stop acting like it should be.
