  1. This alleged whistle blower has no evidence of any of this. Under the letter of the law, gang violence, common street violence is NOT a cause for asylum. Nor should it be, why should the United States be responible for accepting asylum seekers because their government is failing to provide law enforcement? In what way, has the new immigration and asylum policies broke the law? They haven't, or some crazy left wing organization would have already found legal ways to stop it. But after numerous attempts by liberals to stop the current direction of the immigration and asylum process, they have failed. Why? Because no laws were broken, nothing illegal has occured. This man's opinion of what is morally right or wrong is exactly that his opinion. The current direction of immigration in this country is in line with the majority of americans, otherwise Trump would not have won the election. Americans hired him and his administration primarily on the promise of immigration and border security reform, and Trump has and is accomplishing the job he was hired to do. I adore how the liberals are still trying to find ways to allow illegals into the country, solely for the purpose of gaining votes. The irony that none of this was an issue when Obama was locking up children in cages, separating families and deporting record amounts of illegals. Now that a conservative president is in office it's not moral or ethical to prevent unauthorized entry into the US. Even the highly coveted Hillart Clinton wanted to secure our borders, yet that was not morally wrong. Do you see the double standard? If Obama recommended all these changes, fences, walls, asylum application reform; it would all be fine with the left. There is an estimated 20 million illegal and undocumented aliens in the United States of which the majority migrated to the US for economic reasons not in fear of their life. How is that fair to the legal immigrants that waited, pay their fees, took all the necessary classes, studied and practiced for endless hours to become a citizen. Just to watch their hard work and determination undermined by a bunch of illegals commiting a crime crossing the border illegally. We all agree illegal and undocumented aliens use valuable resources without contributing to the society that so blatantly protects them. All while we have a lack of resources for homeless, veterans and those asylum seekers who truly need the protection of the United States. To think that an open border police is safe, economic and morally right for America, is absurd and down right dangerous for America and it's people. There is no room for mistakes here, border security is not an issue we should be arguing about.

  2. But conservatives are to stubborn? Really. So we should legalize cocaine, heroine, fentanyl and all the illegal prescription medications entering the US? Because legalizing marijuana is not enough to stop the flow of illegal drugs into the US or any other nation. I am so happy you feel the US drug war is the cause of illegals entering the US illegally. Because every expert out there disagrees with that theory. In fact if the illegal drug trade didn't have so viability, these towns and villages were these so called asylum seekers are coming from would cease to exist. Your opinion is just that your opinion, enjoy it.

  3. Uphold his personal values? His personal values as a government employee do not exceed the american peoples desire for secure borders. I dont care if your the Pope, if the majority of americans want stricter policies on asylum and immigration policies then decision is up to the president and Congress, not some half baked lawyer in the asylum office.

  4.  @caroselloshow5615  You are so blind and ignorant of the truth. Why did Portugal decriminalize the use of illicit drugs? Do you even know why? They did so as a curb for health cost reasons in the treatment of drug abuse. The facts! Portugal didn't legalize drugs or drug use, they simply decriminalized it. But there is still a system in Portugal that is derived of three people panels that still institute fines for personal use of illicit drugs. Selling, Distributing and manufacturing illicit drugs is still illegal. And at what cost? Well now there citizen use of illicit drugs has skyrocketed, causing more drug use related crime, and the loss of individual freedom as the panel of 3 can now force an individual into rehab against their will. So what did Portugal accomplish? the only manage to change the medical costs associated with drug use, not the costs to taxpayers, or the damage drug manufacturing and distribution causes to the people or other nations. To think that decriminalizing or legalizing all drug use in the United States is a good idea, you must have fallen onto your head as a baby. The US decriminalizing drug use, would not stop the manufacturing and distribution of these drugs, which is what causes the problems in central and south America. So now you increased the drug use in America, thus increasing the demand, increasing the side effects it causes in central and south America. All you did, was create more violence in the places people are allegedly running from.

  5.  @EthWe  your way to late to that conversation. Portugal's system hasn't exactly worked. Plus drugs arent legalized there they are just decriminalized. Let's not forget, rehab is not an option, its court mandated. How many people live in Portugal?

  6.  @EthWe  it did not reduce the amount of over doses, it did not reduce drug related crime and violence, it did not reduce the amount a drug users. All there program did was reduce HIV cases. Portugal's program is not successful, it worked for what they needed it to do at that time. Addressing the underlying problems of addicts is far more effective.
