@rei_cirith ok, in your words, key me get this right. A government in this case Hong Kong wanted to create a law binding extradition procedures with countries it had no agreement with and the people of Hong Kong just thought this law was wrong and decided to violently protest for months? Do I have that right? So exactly what is Hong Kong? Hong Kong is sovereign People Republic of China land and simply kept as 2 systems 1 country. Just because the Hong Kong people do not want to be part of China or under china law, they really have no choice. If they wanted independence, then they should have figured that out prior to 1997. The HK people originally began protesting to prevent the Extradition of criminals, that included china. These children who are using violence to protest Chinese rule, do so simply because they do not like what there future holds. Most of these violent thug children have no clue what it was like to have any level of western style freedom. The majority of these thugs were born under chinese rule and this is simply a rebellious attempt at trying to change China government from Communist to a democracy. The entire world knows this will never happen. These children are simply throwing a temper tantrum, at best these children have 18 years to get their lives together and China takes over completely. That is the treaty, and that cannot be changed. These kids need to be rounded up, arrested and sent to prison for their violent temper tantrums.

Hong Kong is under the rule of China and ultimately these children violently protesting in the street is because they do not want to be under China rule. Well news flash, they do not have a choice. They only have 18 years before the PRC takes total control of Hong Kong. Here they are waisting time and efforts fighting something they cannot and should not win. If they wanted independence and freedom then they should have declared independence in 1996, not in 2019. If they continue these childish violent temper tantrums the PRC will send in troops and we will have another Tiananmen square. The idea you bring no critical debate over this comment tells me you simply support rebellious violent protesting simply because you favor any type of anti-government movement.

Oh you wanna give compassion and love for protestors who protest a law that allows the government to send murders back to where they killed their girlfriend to stand trial for murder? @Peridot what do you think the US can do? They have no position in this event between Hong Kong and the PRC. If anything it is in the better interests of the US to let these protests continue, as it deflects from the current US China Trade problems. You fail to understand one thing, HK is under the control of the PRC and in 18 years will be under complete control. In fact that is what these children are throwing the temper tantrums for because they do not want to be under the control of the PRC. Well it's a little to late for that, they want someone to blame they should blame their parents for not declaring independence from England.

@Peridot do you realize the HK human rights and democracy act does zero to help Hong Kong citizens? It only requires the US government to certify that HK is still governed by its own legislative body. That doesn't change the fact that Hong Kong still becomes the PRC in 2046. These children using violence because they do not like being under the control of the PRC are only going to bring the full weight of the PRC into HK and will get people killed for a senseless reason.

@SS-tr6ei even if that was true, and all the other criminal acts you speak of were true, wouldn't the Chinese government do the international community stepped in an curbed this? Yes they would have, if the US had any shared of evidence that the president of China was laundering money outside of china they would be using that against him in every aspect of politics. But they have zero against him. You can sit there and be like every protestor around the world and blame corruption, but without some type of evidence then your accusations are mute. As I have said a hundred times, these children protesting with violence are not even old enough to know what HK was like when it was under British rule. They hear stories about how it was a great place to be! Well news flash until 2046 it will still be a great place to live, HK is one of the more prosperous places in the world to live and work yest you are protesting because the PRA who controls HK is not happy with the political demonstrators in HK and want them silenced. That is not an reason to use violence and protest. The PRC is your government, like it or not. This is not a situation of independence of freedom, if you think the PRC would allow violent protests for independence you are very wrong. There children are rebellious youth afraid of the future under PRC control. Should have thought about that in 1996 not now. All this started because HK would not extradite a murder, and now after the law was taken off the election block the protests are still going on. You all will seal your own fate. The PRC is waiting for HK to say they can no longer handle the problem, and that will give the PRC every legitiame reason to enter HK and use PRC troops to clear the streets and enforce marshal law. So go ahead keep up the violent protests.

@MatzoRocks I am part of the international court of public opinion and from what these thugs are doing and for no reason, they have lost the social high ground. They are nothing more then children throwing a temper tantrum. No one cares that you do not want the PRC in your life, like it or not HK is part of the PRC. Deal with it!
