See my post in the main comment area, but to clarify your false narrative, guns are not identified in crimes by serial numbers, they are identified by ballistic tests. The government had no clue what serial numbers go to what guns, or what owner unless the firearm is a class 3 NFA firearm. 80% lowers offer no clear benefit to a criminal. In fact statistics and data prove your entire story to be false. Why? Because over 95% of crimes committed with firearms, are done so by firearms with serial numbers or alerted serial numbers. Why? Simply because a criminal does not have the time and resources to build a firearm. It took you six hours to build it, but how king did it take for you to order and receive ask the parts? Did you order them all correctly? Who told you what parts to order? How many hours of videos and reading did you do to learn how to build the 80% firearm? You mislead the public and your readers with this story. It is clearly biased and in no way reports the true reality of 80% firearms. By the way, the majority of builders of theses firearms DO NOT buy and build them out of fear if privacy issues, they do it out of cost and the idea of making a gun yourself. A point you fail to address, is goes many 80% lowers are sold annually, nationwide in comparison to all gun sales. This article was extremely biased, misleading and down right poor journalism.
